How To

How to Act on a First Date?

You want your first date to be exciting and fun. You want to have a great time. How can you do this best?

First, remember that you don't need to know everything about someone immediately. It's okay if you're unfamiliar with his interests and hobbies. He may not be interested in these topics. The fact that you don't yet know everything about him doesn't necessarily mean that you won’t enjoy spending some time with him.

Keep it lighthearted, second. Don't take things too seriously. Don't worry if you get nervous. This is supposed for fun!

Third, be open to discussing your mutual interests. Ask questions about what they like doing. Find out as much information as possible about your partner.

Fourth, listen carefully to what he says. Pay close attention to what he says. Notice whether he uses words such as "I" or "you." Pay attention to how fast or slow he talks. You can listen for clues as to how he feels about others and himself.

Ask open-ended questions fifth. Ask questions that will require both of your answers. Asking "What music do your like?" is a better way to ask. Instead of asking, "What kind of music do you like?" ask, "Does it sound more like classical music to you or rock/pop?"

Sixth, be attentive to his body language. Watch for signs that he likes you. Look at the way he holds his hands when he talks to you. Are there any hand gestures you can see? Do you see him being comfortable around other people? Is he smiling at you? These are all good indicators that he likes you.

Seventh, be aware of signs that he doesn’t like you. These are the signs you should be paying attention to. Is he sensitive to touch? What happens if you look into his eyes and touch him?

Finally, if the person you like, start to kiss him. It's perfectly fine to start kissing him right away.

Tell him that you don’t like him. Tell him that you believe there's no way for you to get along with him.

You can tell him that you aren't comfortable with the idea of dating him. Tell him you're not his type. You might prefer spending your time with someone who shares some of your interests.

You might also consider telling him that you've met someone else.

You could even express your sorrow for him. He likely has some positive qualities, but has not yet met anyone who is special.

It would be very nice.
